THE CHOIR OF ST ELISABETH’S CHURCH

Since the consecration of St Elisabeth’s Church, Reddish in 1883, the church has been home to a wonderful and vibrant community of musicians.

From the installation of the fine Hill organ in 1885 to the present day, the choral tradition at St Elisabeth’s has gone from strength to strength. The choir consists of around twenty people of all ages and from all walks of life who share a common love of making music together.

St Elisabeth’s prides itself on being home to fine and well-loved music, not only to enhance the major festivals of the church with music across a diverse range of styles and epochs, but to continue to maintain the traditions of the past with the celebration of the weekly Eucharist and Family Services, with Choral Evensong celebrated quarterly as well as featuring within the main Festivals of the church.

We are currently looking to expand the choir across all vocal ranges. If you would like to sing with St Elisabeth’s choir, we welcome singers of all standards from beginners to professional level and we would love to hear from you.
